A website redesign that starts with what you already have.

Before any website redesign, we look at what your current site does well. Sometimes a few fixes do more than a redesign. When a redesign is right, we keep the pages people find you through.

Our homepage on a laptop and a phone.

The site looks dated, but it still brings in enquiries.

It was built years ago. On a phone the menu is hard to use and the text is small, and nobody on the team can change a price without calling someone. Yet a handful of its pages still bring visitors from Google, and starting over could cost you those.

What it does.

Check what works first, then redesign and keep what ranks.

A look at what you have

If you have Google Search Console or analytics set up, they show which pages bring visitors and enquiries. We also check how the site works on a phone.

Fixes or a redesign, said plainly

Slow pages, a menu that is hard to use on a phone, an old price list or a form that goes nowhere can often be fixed on the site you have. If the site needs a redesign, we say so and explain why.

Keeps what ranks

Pages that bring visitors from search keep their address, or the old address redirects to the new page. Their titles and the content people found them for come across too.

A site your team can edit

Pages you change often, such as prices or opening hours, get simple editing. We show your team how it works at handover.

Start with your current site.

Send the address. If you use Google Search Console or analytics, we look at them together. Tell us which pages you would keep and what you want visitors to do.

How we build it.

In this order, and nothing goes live before you have tried it.

Review the current site

We go through the current site and its search data, page by page, and note what works and what gets in the way.

Map every old address

Each page that matters gets a place on the new site. Where an address has to change, we set up a redirect, so old links and search results still lead somewhere useful.

Design and build around the enquiry

New pages are planned around what visitors need and the enquiry or booking you want. Every page is checked on phones and desktops, for speed and for its search setup.

Launch and check

After launch we check Search Console for broken links and missing pages and fix any redirect that was missed. Ongoing content and search work can be agreed separately.

Where it fits.

What it looks like in a few kinds of business.

Restaurants

Reservations and menu questions, with allergy questions passed to your staff.

Dental clinics

Answers new patients and sends urgent cases to your front desk.

Questions we hear.

Will a redesign hurt our Google rankings?

It can, when old addresses stop working or pages that rank are dropped. We map every old address to a new page before launch and check Search Console after it. Nobody can promise rankings, but those are the usual ways they are lost.

Can you redesign the site on the platform we have?

Often, yes. If it runs on WordPress or Shopify, the platform can usually stay while the design changes. If the platform is the problem, we explain why before suggesting a move.

Do we have to rewrite all our content?

No. Pages that work keep their content, tidied where needed. New or weak pages get new copy.

Who will own the new site?

You do, along with the domain and every account the site uses.

What if a few fixes are enough?

Then we suggest the fixes instead of a redesign and quote for those.
